A former state attorney, Krysten A. (Pogue) Patel provides her clients with an unrivaled commitment to excellence and service. After excelling at St. Thomas University School of Law, where, besides graduating with honors in the top five of her class, she shined as a research assistant, law review member, and federal law clerk intern. While working for the government, Krysten handled misdemeanor cases including:

- Criminal mischief
- Driving offenses
She also handled felony level crimes including:
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Aggravated battery with a deadly weapon
- Armed trespassing
- Felony DUI
- Leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury.
During this time, Krysten developed a specialized interest in post-conviction relief issues, sentence mitigation, and criminal appeals.
